Collaborative Communication

Level 1: “Why Are We Struggling?”

Naming the Problem

Many workplace challenges aren’t caused by policies, personalities, or performance—they’re caused by communication habits we’ve inherited without realizing it. This introductory training helps teams identify the root causes of misunderstanding, tension, and disconnection so they can finally shift them.

Participants learn to:

-Listen for understanding rather than reacting or defending

-Identify and interrupt disconnecting listening habits

-Reframe emotional responses as signals, not problems

-Agreements replace rules

-Understanding boundaries vs controlling others

Outcome:
Teams leave with shared language, increased empathy, and practical tools that immediately improve daily interactions.

Level 3: Co-creating a workplace that works for everyone - by everyone

Integration, Systems Change & Long-Term Sustainability

Transformation becomes real when new skills reshape workplace structure, culture, and expectations. This level supports organizations in embedding collaborative communication into policies, systems, and everyday practice.

Participants learn to:

Examine repeating challenges through a systemic—not personal—lens

Continue practicing and applying Level 1 & 2 skills with coaching and feedback

Create clear, shared workplace agreements that reduce conflict

Build collaborative feedback systems that strengthen respect and transparency

Design structures that sustain connection, equity, and trust long-term

Outcome:
A healthier work culture—co-designed, co-maintained, and supported by everyone.

Jill McPherson Convergent Facilitation

Convergent Facilitation:

Leading Groups Without Carrying It All or Being the “Bad Guy”

Leading people through plans and decisions can feel exhausting. Many leaders end up taking on all the responsibility, managing resistance, or absorbing frustration simply because they are “the one in charge.” Often, this isn’t about poor leadership—it’s about the communication habits we’ve inherited from traditional models like chairing meetings or using parliamentary procedure, which can unintentionally silence voices or turn the leader into the target.

Convergent Facilitation teaches collaborative, peaceful ways to guide groups through tasks and decisions so people feel safe to contribute, willing to participate, and more invested in what gets created. Instead of defending decisions or pushing for agreement, leaders learn how to facilitate conversations that invite shared thinking, shared ownership, and shared follow-through.

In this training, participants learn how to:

Lead group discussions without controlling or carrying the load alone

Create safety so people openly share ideas and concerns

Facilitate collaboration without being blamed or resented

Support groups to co-create plans and decisions they will actually implement

This workshop is ideal for leaders, supervisors, and team leads who want to move work forward while maintaining trust, respect, and connection.

women in leadership

Hear Me Out:

Women Leading Beyond Power, Control, and Hierarchy

Do you ever feel the tension between staying true to who you are and becoming who the system expects you to be as a leader? What if the problem isn’t how you lead — but the system you’re trying to lead within?

Hear Me Out is a powerful, human-centred experience focused on what it truly means to feel heard in leadership, work, and life. Rooted in deep listening, presence, and trust-building communication, this session offers a modern approach to leadership that strengthens connection, clarity, and collaboration.

Grounded in the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Hear Me Out supports women in leading with authenticity and impact — without changing who they are to be taken seriously. It replaces performance-based leadership with relational leadership that builds influence through presence, honesty, and real connection.

“Under the Same Sun: A Story of Connection, Courage & the Power of How We Communicate

Recently, I had the honour of teaching communication to adults at a career-training school in Kenya—an experience that deeply transformed me. These learners, many of whom have faced profound adversity, were not just learning how to speak and listen. They were reclaiming their voice. Through empathy-based practices and honest dialogue, they began to:

Listen with care

Express themselves with clarity

Collaborate in ways that build trust and shared purpose

And I walked away changed.

Their courage and insight reminded me of this truth: meaningful leadership begins within.

Under the Same Sun is a keynote born from that experience—a message for teams, organizations, and communities seeking to deepen communication, build connection, and lead with heart in times of change.

Perfect for audiences looking to:
✨ Reignite purpose and resilience
✨ Strengthen collaboration and trust
✨ Explore the human side of leadership

Blending storytelling with actionable insight, Under the Same Sun invites listeners into a conversation about what it means to show up—with empathy, with integrity, and with one another.
