Parenting Workshops
Did you make a promise to yourself that, as a parent, you would do better — and yet find yourself saying or doing things you swore you never would? That’s because many of us were raised in a power over parenting paradigm, where children’s compliance and gratitude were prioritized over their own needs.
I can support you in breaking free from the patterns you grew up with and shifting into a power with approach — a parenting system where empathy, mutual respect, and understanding form the foundation of your family relationships. Through practical tools and guided practice, my workshops help parents respond to challenging behavior with connection instead of control, build trust, and create a home where everyone’s needs are valued and met.

Letting Go, Connecting More
For parents with children of all ages
Parenting can feel like a constant balancing act between guiding children and controlling behaviour. This workshop supports parents in moving away from a “power over” system that relies on rules, judgments, policing, and punishments — toward a “power with” approach that fosters empathy, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
Grounded in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), parents will learn how to:
Cultivate self-awareness and reflection to understand their own triggers and patterns.
Recognize the needs behind their child’s behaviour instead of responding with control or judgment.
Foster mutual accountability and shared understanding within the family.
Guide children toward empathy, contribution, and cooperation, rather than compliance.
Build a family culture where each person’s needs are valued, acknowledged, and met.
By shifting from “holding on” to “letting go,” parents create a nurturing environment of connection, respect, and learning, where behaviour is guided by collaboration and understanding — not fear or punishment.
Managing Little Ones With Big Emotions
*This workshop can be customized for any age group.
Are you struggling with morning routines? bedtime? schoolwork? chores? being disrespectful or just not listening?
When children experience strong feelings, it can feel overwhelming — for them and for us. This workshop invites parents and caregivers to see emotional moments not as misbehaviour to manage, but as opportunities for connection, understanding, and growth.
Grounded in the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), participants will learn how to stay calm and compassionate when emotions run high, listen beneath the behaviour to the need being expressed, and respond in ways that build trust rather than tension.
In this workshop, you’ll learn to:
Recognize what your child’s emotions are really trying to communicate.
Stay grounded and self-connected when your child’s feelings escalate.
Respond with empathy and clear boundaries, rather than control or withdrawal.
Transform power struggles into moments of understanding and cooperation.
When we meet big emotions with presence instead of punishment, children learn that all feelings are safe — and so do we.

Small Hands, Big Challenges
Connecting with Your Teen: Empathy, Understanding, and Mutual Respect
For parents with children ages 11-18
Are you feeling a disconnect with your tween or teen? Do you miss the relationship you had with them when they were little? Do you struggle to know what to say or how to effectively respond to their behaviours?
Teenagers often act in ways that feel frustrating or confusing to parents. This workshop helps parents move beyond reaction and judgment, offering tools to empathize with your teen, understand the needs behind their behaviour, and respond in ways that build connection.
Grounded in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) principles, participants will learn how to:
Listen deeply so both parent and teen feel heard and seen.
Recognize the unmet needs driving challenging behaviour.
Communicate boundaries and expectations with clarity and care.
Foster mutual respect, trust, and cooperation rather than power struggles.
When parents meet their teen with empathy and understanding, connection replaces conflict — and both parent and teen feel valued, understood, and supported.
