Welcome to Peaceful Communication solutions

As educators and parents, how can we effectively meet the increasing emotional and developmental needs of students?

Do you find it difficult to confidently express your own needs in the face of challenging situations?

Are you yearning for practical skills to better support yourself and the young people in your care?

What are we needing in education and the home? Listen to my podcast guest appearances…

Addressing the Need for change

As a teacher with over 25 years of experience, I have witnessed firsthand how outdated paradigms negatively impact teachers, students, and parents. The reliance on traditional methods, such as behavior modification practices aimed at controlling student behavior, often leads to more harm than good.

These approaches are not working.

Over the past decade, I have dedicated myself to developing connecting and collaborative communication skills that have transformed my approach to teaching. These tools have empowered me to reframe and prevent many of the discipline challenges that made teaching so stressful for me in the past.

Today, I am traveling the world to share this knowledge with those who are ready to create a meaningful shift in education—both in schools and at home. My mission is to help build peaceful, collaborative learning environments where children and adults alike can thrive, supported by systems that honour and incorporate everyone’s needs.

I will help you…

Understand why teachers and administrators are seeing an increase in defiant behaviours.

Learn what skills as educators we truly need that we did not learn in Teacher’s College

Experience and practise these skills in interactive and experiential workshops

Communication Workshops & Keynotes

"Why Aren’t They Listening? Shifting from Control to Connection in Education"
(For Educators and Parents)

Workshop Description:
Discover why traditional methods of discipline, like "Behavior Modification," are failing in today's classrooms and homes. This workshop explores the deeply ingrained “domination culture” paradigms that our education systems were built on—and why the strategies that worked for past generations are no longer effective.

Learn how these outdated approaches may be escalating the very challenges you’re striving to resolve.

Through this interactive session, you’ll:

Uncover the critical mindset shifts and practices necessary to cultivate empathetic, responsible, self-directed, and collaborative learners.

Gain practical tools and insights to address your specific challenges in real-time.

Leave inspired and equipped to create transformative change in education—turning frustration into connection and collaboration. Empower yourself to be part of the movement toward an education system that works with students, rather than against them, fostering a thriving future for all.

Compassionate Collaboration for Educators (and Parents)

In this workshop, we’ll explore practical strategies for making consensus-based decisions without relying on traditional power dynamics like “majority rules.” Designed specifically for those shaping young minds, this session equips educators and parents with empathy-driven and agile decision-making skills to navigate disagreements and create agreements that honor the diverse needs of both children and adults.

Say goodbye to the frustration of decision-making deadlocks and hello to a culture of trust, respect, and inclusion. Whether in the classroom or at home, you’ll leave empowered to foster collaboration, balance competing needs, and build environments where everyone feels heard and valued.

Building Resilience for You and Your Children

Are you feeling disconnected and depleted?  Have you heard the phrase, “Stop taking things so personally” but wondered how to stop doing that? Are you wishing you felt more resilient and empowered? Do you want to know how to foster resilience in your students/children as well?

This workshop will not only teach you how to become more resilient, but will enlighten you into why the things that people do (or don’t do) are so triggering and what you can do about it. Shift from feeling disconnected and depleted to confident and resilient.
