Part 1: Understanding Kids and Their Big Emotions

(Private Event)

Children’s meltdowns, resistance, and frustration often leave parents wondering what to do in the moment. This session explores what children’s emotions are communicating and how parents can respond in ways that support emotional regulation and reduce power struggles.

Parents will learn:

• What children’s big emotions are really communicating
• The difference between behaviour and the needs underneath it
• Why emotional regulation develops over time
• Practical ways to respond to meltdowns and emotional overwhelm
• How empathy and connection help children calm and cooperate

Parents will leave with simple tools and language they can use immediately with children of different ages.
