Dealing With Difficult People - Free Webinar Hosted by The Expert Talk

Once again I am excited about joining as a member of an expert panel hosted by The Expert Talk…

We’ve all worked with someone we might label as “difficult”: The colleague who shuts down. The one who overreacts. The teammate who resists every change.

But what if those behaviours aren’t about personality flaws or fixed traits? What if they’re stress responses?

In this one-hour panel discussion, we’ll explore what’s really happening beneath challenging workplace behaviours. Drawing on research about stress, communication, and human behaviour, our panel of experts will unpack why certain dynamics get stuck in endless loops, how unmet needs drive conflict, and what we can do in the moment to navigate tension with more clarity and confidence.

Whether you’re leading a team or simply trying to survive one, this session will help you see challenging behaviour through a new lens – one that opens the door to creating more understanding, more effective conversations, and stronger working relationships.

Collaborative Communication Workshop

Co-Hosted with The Expert Talk…

Most communication breakdowns don’t happen because people don’t care.
They happen because we’re running on patterns and habits we didn’t choose.

Collaborative Communication is a practical, engaging 2-hour online workshop that helps participants notice and interrupt common communication and listening habits that quietly create disconnection – especially when emotions enter the room.

Grounded in principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), this session invites participants to become more aware of how workplace culture, schooling, and “professional” norms have shaped the way they listen, respond, and speak under stress. Many of these habits are automatic, well-intended, and surprisingly ineffective.

Rather than teaching participants how to manage emotions, this workshop reframes emotions as useful signals  indicators that a habitual pattern is being activated. Participants learn how to recognize these cues in themselves and others, pause with intention, and respond in ways that increase understanding rather than escalation.

The focus is not on fixing conversations or memorizing new strategies & scripts, but on making small, meaningful shifts that help people feel more present, more grounded, and more likely to understand and be heard.

PLEASE NOTE: Completion Certificates for 2 hours of professional development will be provided upon request. Please see FAQ below for additional information!
