Part 2: Managing Little Ones With Big Emotions

  • Early ON Years 30 Centre Street Orangeville, ON, L9W 2X1 Canada (map)

Open to the Public: Young children experience big emotions — tantrums, meltdowns, and frustration are all part of their developmental journey. This interactive workshop helps parents navigate these challenging moments with empathy, understanding, and confidence, using the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC).

Through hands-on practice and real-life scenarios, parents will learn to:

Recognize the needs behind their child’s big emotions.

Respond in ways that validate feelings while setting healthy boundaries.

Practice NVC strategies to transform power struggles into moments of connection and learning.

Build confidence in supporting emotional regulation and cooperation in everyday situations.

This workshop is designed to be practical, interactive, and supportive, giving parents the tools to respond to emotional outbursts in ways that foster trust, connection, and mutual understanding.
