Bullying: An Innovative Perspective
Have you ever struggled with a bully in your child’s life? Or are you struggling with one now?
What is it about bullies? Why does it seem that at some point in our lives, many of us end up dealing with a bully? Even as adults, from time to time, they occasionally show up.
Why is that? And what can we do to rid ourselves of a bully? How can we support our children if they seem to be suffering from a bully in their lives? What can we do to prevent a bully from reappearing or what can we do to prevent a bully from choosing us to begin with?
The third week in November is Bully Prevention month. Many schools participate in exercises and activities that address bullying. In recognition of this month, this podcast is about bullying.
If you or your child(ren) are struggling with a bully and need some help, be sure to listen to today’s podcast. In it, I will share my thoughts on why bullying occurs and what we can do to support ourselves and our children with the experience of bullying. I also discuss ways in which we can develop beliefs, behaviours, and communication strategies that build friendships and better connections with one another. These, in turn, are effective in preventing the phenomenon of bullying from occurring.
