A Core Belief That Results in Peaceful Parenting
In this podcast I answer a question submitted by a listener.
Danielle writes:
“I can sense that my girls (age 7 and 9) are ready for more independence, however I am not quite ready. I struggle with giving up control and prefer to keep them in the safety of my oversight. I am also known to be a perfectionist and have a hard time watching them fail. How can I come to terms with giving them more freedom in an age appropriate way while managing my feelings? I know it’s important to allow them more freedom, for example: walking to the bus in the morning, riding their bikes in the neighbourhood and learning life skills, but it is hard to let go.”
